‘나의 미래는 알 수 없지만, 희망을 품고 살아간다.’

작가는 동양화에서 느껴지는 서정적인 분위기를 현대적으로 재해석하여 풀어내었다.
여러 가지 색에 농도를 조절하여 흘리는 기법을 사용하여, 나무의 결을 그대로 느낄 수 있도록 표현하였고, 잎은 보는 이로 하여금 입체감을 느낄 수 있도록 표현한 것이 특징이다.
작품에서 표현하는 직선은 물, 바다, 시간의 흐름을 나타내고, 원은 세상과 소통하는 출구이며 태양과 달로 표현하였다.

작가는 인간의 삶과 자연이 많이 닮아 있다고 생각한다. 미래를 계획하며 살아가는 사람들이지만 문득 돌아보는 현재의 나는 전혀 다른 삶을 살고 있듯이 우리가 알고 있다고 생각했던 자연은 막상 그곳에 가보면 전혀 다른 모습으로 우리를 맞이하곤 한다.

다양한 색감과 강인함 그리고 고요함을 주는 작가의 작업은 항상 관람자의 마음을 위로하고 함께할 수 있기를 바란다.

‘I have no clue about my future, 
but I live on with hopes’ 

Zinna Yoo reinterpreted lyrical ambience of oriental paintings with modern 
perspective. 

Using dripping technique that allows Yoo to manage color density, the artist 
realistically expressed the texture of woods and leaves. 

Straight lines in the work indicate the flow of water, sea and time, while the 
circles, expressed as the sun and moon, are the outlet where she communicates with the world.

Yoo believes that human lives are much alike nature. We plan for the 
future, but looking back, our path diverged from the plans that we had. Likewise, the nature that we always believe that we do know thoroughly welcomes us with appearance that we never expected to see when we encounter it. 

With its diverse colors, toughness and tranquility, we hope this work consoles the minds of audience viewing it before their eyes.
